Metrics page: the Quality tab

The Quality tab is the newest addition to the Metrics page. Where the other tabs measure what your team ships and how fast, Quality measures how your team reviews. All of it adjusts to the people, teams, and timeframes you care about.

The Quality tab of Mesmer's Metrics page, scoped to an 8-person team over the last 30 days. Five metric tiles run across the top — Quality per PR reviewed (82 out of 100), Time to first review (9h 59m), Rubber-stamp reviews (87%), Total effort reviewed (76,335), and Effort per PR reviewed (185) — each showing its change versus the previous period. Below, an 'Effort reviewed over time' bar chart with a 7-day average line, spanning late June to mid-July.

What's new#

  • Effort reviewed over time. How much reviewed effort your team is absorbing, week over week, so review load reads as a trend instead of a guess.
  • Time to first review. How long a pull request waits before anyone looks at it — the quiet delay that stretches cycle time before a single line of feedback is written.
  • Rubber-stamp reviews. The share of reviews that approve without engaging: no comments, no changes requested, merged as-is.
  • Effort per PR reviewed. How much effort sits behind the average PR under review, so a jump in review load reads as either more PRs or heavier ones.
  • Quality per PR reviewed. The mean PR Quality grade across reviewed changes, so review depth and review outcome sit on the same screen.
